THIS WINE IS TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE
Did you know?
It doesn't get more Georgian than the Shavkapito grape. You will only find it in this small country to the right of the Black Sea. But not much there either. According to the thick wine books, the Shavkapito produces fairly light red wines, with lots of fruit and sometimes a somewhat smoky tone. Kapistoni makes it in a qvevri, dug in his cellar.| Color: | Red | Taste profile: | Full bodied | Country: | Georgia |

Kartli is the wine region around the capital Tbilisi and the historic heart of Georgia. In terms of volume, Kartli is dwarfed by the large Kakheti region, but a lot of interesting things are happening here. Winemakers are rediscovering forgotten indigenous grapes, neglected vineyards are getting a second life, and newcomers from Georgia and abroad are bringing fresh ideas.
