Edi Simčič Malvazija

Intriguing Slovenian wine from a grape that is usually not so intriguing: the Malvasia. At Edi Simcis they know how to press a high-quality wine from this. Fermented and matured in oak barriques.

Smells of lavender and elderflower. Thick juice with considerable wood aging. Gooseberry and wild peach fruit. Almond bitters. Its beautiful acidity provides a good counterbalance to the wood aging and gives the wine a nice tension. Decanting is a good idea for the first three years after the harvest.
