Chateau Chizay Dry Sekt Rosé

Ukraine's Chateau Chizay makes this rosé sparkling wine from the Blaufränkisch grape. A grape that is widespread in Hungary and Austria. Western Ukraine's Transcarpathia is not far from there. No wonder, then, that the winemakers chose this grape.

The Blaufränkisch grape gives this sparkling wine a lovely raspberry-pink colour. You will recognise those raspberries in the flavour too, together with little strawberries and a touch of shaved almond. Nicely dry and fresh. An uncomplicated, taut sparkler, very well suited to lunch or to drinks.
