The Thermenregion is an Austrian wine district with unique grapes that you will not find anywhere else in the world. And then we are mainly talking about the Rotgipfler and Zierfandler. Wine growing was probably introduced in the Thermenregion by the Romans around the beginning of our era. They had a large army base in Carnuntum, which is a little further away.
