The winemakers at Chateau Vartely do everything they can to make modern wines. To count in Europe. This wine works better than at the Eurovision Song Contest. Even though it has been made a bit commercially, it is not kitsch but a generous, ripe red wine.
With plum jam in the nose, as if it comes from the New World. It is spicy and intense. Tastes like stewed red fruit. To ripe amarene cherries and even riper strawberries. Kokindjes licorice and still some stiff tannin, but it softens a little every day. Sure. We Westerners like that. Douze points for Moldova.

Schaffmeister, Rotterdam

Moldavische wijnversie van de Audi A4 Avant. Allemansvriend met naadloos in elkaar gedraaide blend van goede kwaliteit, maar wel vrij sexloos. Je buren hebben hem ook. Ik mis de Rară Neagră een beetje.
