Heerlijke Roemeen, deze Iacob Rosu '17 van wijnhuis Davino te Ceptura, op zo’n 80km ten Noorden vd hoofdstad Boekarest in de applicatie Dealu Mare. Leuk label met de IACOBSladder of "the stairway to heaven"? Blend van 60 Cabarnet Sauvignon dat hier voor de body en de structuur zorgt & 40 lokale Feteasca Neagra dat duidelijk 't aromatische profiel versterkt met zwart fruit & enkele subtiele terroir-verrijkte hints. Diep, glanzend robijnrood in 't glas. Énorm smaakvol, fruit-forward met mooie aroma's van rijpe bramen & cassis, zwarte kers, geconfijte pruim, rijpe zure kers & moerbei. Even later volgt 'n zweem met tonen van geroosterd hout, zwarte peper, nootmuskaat, piment, tikje anijs, tabak, laurier & enkele subtiele hints van eikenschors. In de mond rijp, stevig, droog, soepel & sappig met med+ alcoholwarmte, med zuurgraad, top-fraîcheur, rijpe tannines & eindigend in 'n lange, karakteristieke afdronk vol cassis, kers & sinaas.
