We have already tasted many Pinot Noir wines. This is the Proto-type for us. German and French Pinot Noirs are often somewhat 'stable' or 'rustic'. Not unpleasant, by the way. From warmer countries they can sometimes be a bit overripe and that is not a punishment either. But this one from Ondřej Dubas from the Czech Republic is neither.
This is a biodynamically made natural wine in which we only recognize pure fruit. From red berries and especially young cherries. Fresh, very clean and perfectly balanced. In short, flawless. Pinot Noir without any frills.
