This is what good wine from the Arinto grape tastes like

Arinto is a white Portuguese grape that thrives on its refined acidity. Wines made from Arinto taste fresh and dry, with plenty of lime and a hint of peach, and often have excellent aging potential.

The main region for Arinto is Bucelas in Estremadura, on the Atlantic coast, just north of Lisbon. White wine from Bucelas must contain at least 75% Arinto juice. Winemakers label the better white wines from Bucelas with the word "Velho". In peak vintages, they make Garrafeira from Arinto. Arinto has quite a few nicknames: In Vinho Verde, it's called Pedernã. But even when you hear Portuguese people speak of Arinto do Dão, Arinto Miudo, or Arinoto Galego, they're referring to Arinto, or a local clone.
