This is what good wine from the Zenit grape tastes like

The Hungarian Zenit grape produces fresh, dry white wines. They can be crisp and fresh with a somewhat floral aroma. In various Hungarian wine regions, Zenit is on the rise as a not-too-expensive, fresh summer wine.

Zenit is the result of a crossing between Ezerjó and Bouvier, created in 1951 by the Hungarian oenologist Dr. Ferenc Király. After several years of experimentation, the result was officially recognized as a new grape variety in the late 1970s. It is planted on a fair scale in Eger, but you also find it around Lake Balaton, in Pécs and in Somló.
