The Greek Assyrtiko grape produces minerally, crisp white wines with fine, fresh acidity. Good wines, in fact. Assyrtiko is a quality grape that's now used to make excellent Greek wines, perfect for pairing with fish dishes, for example.
Assyrtiko grows primarily in the volcanic vineyards of the Greek island of Santorini, giving it its minerally flavor. More than half of the vineyards on this beautiful island are planted with Assyrtiko. In vineyards on mainland Greece, it generally produces rounder and fruitier wines.
We currently have two wines made from the Assyrtiko grape in our range. You can view our Assyrtiko wines here.
