Which wine is best to serve with scallops depends largely on how you prepare them. In any case, it is best to avoid red wines, because they do not go with scallops.
If you prepare the scallops fried and natural, we advise you to serve them with a nice Chardonnay - and it may have had a light wood aging. A glass of dry sparkling wine is delicious with scallops and a Grüner Veltliner, Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Blanc or Riesling are also great accompaniments.
If you serve the scallops in a creamy sauce or grill them, we would go for the wood-matured white. With a citrus sauce we recommend Riesling and with scallops with a white wine sauce we think Sauvignon Blanc is very tasty.

Very special Grüner Veltliner. Made in the same way this wine was made in the nineteenth century. Intriguing wine in which you always discover something new.
