Eger is often compared to the French Burgundy. But in Eger many more different grapes are planted. And that is what the winemakers make their famous 'Bull's Blood' from. Since the fall of the wall, Eger has started a second youth. The quality of the wine region has improved rapidly. In 1995, 1998, 2005 and 2009 Eger delivered the Hungarian winemaker of the year.
