This is what good wine from the Tetri Chitistvala grape tastes like

The, for us, barely pronounceable Tetri Chitistvala grape is a forgotten Georgian white grape from which, as far as we know, one winemaker has recently started pressing wine again. It goes into an orange blend with Kisi and Rkatsiteli, so we can't really tell you exactly what Tetri Chitistvala tastes like on its own.

The very limited amount of Tetri Chitistvala that exists grows in the Georgian province of Kakheti. The people at Casreli Wines press a wine from it, and that same wine immediately won gold at the International Qvevri Wine Competition. So who knows, maybe other winemakers will wake up and ask Casreli for a few vines of this variety. Until then, we'll make do with that one award-winning Casreli wine.
