With a grilled sea bream you can serve a somewhat firmer white wine with a ripe character. A not too flashy, short wood maturation is no problem. A more daring combination is with a smooth, light red wine.
If you want to play it safe, choose a ripe Chardonnay that has had little or no wood aging. A Chablis, for example, is a good choice. A Pinot Gris is also an option.
If you want to venture into red, it's best to choose a supple, young Pinot Noir or another light red with little or no tannin.
