The old vineyards of Château L'Enclos des Roses, in the middle of Gaillac in the French Sud-Ouest, were bought by Aurélie Balaran in 2007. She had good reason to set her sights on precisely this vineyard - it is planted with old vines (some more than 50 years old) of the traditional grape varieties of Gaillac. Domaine Jean Yves Millaire is the family business of Jean Yves and Christine Millaire, located right in Bordeaux, near Fronsac. Jean Yves and Christine farm entirely biodynamically, quite unusual in this traditional region - and so are their wines. The style differs from what you're used to from Bordeaux: fresher, easier to drink and more 'made for the fruit'. That's not only because of how the vineyards are managed - Jean Yves ferments and ages a large part of his wine in concrete tanks and earthenware amphorae, where his colleagues in Bordeaux often choose wooden barrels. Groupe UVAL Corsican is a wine cooperative from the French island of Corsica dedicated to making quality wines. The cooperative plays an important role in putting Corsican wines on the map, since unlike many of the wines made here, a large part leaves the island and even crosses the French border. That's very pleasant, since these are well-made wines true to their region. More about Groupe UVAL Corsican

Les Vins de Vienne is a special project by three great winemakers from the Rhône Valley: Yves Cuilleron, Pierre Gaillard and François Villard.
